The Canadian Shield Rose is part of the "49th Parallel Collection," a group of hardy roses developed by the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association to thrive in cold climates. Known for its vibrant red blooms, this rose is not only winter-hardy (tolerant to Zone 3) but also disease-resistant, making it an easy-care option for both novice and experienced gardeners.

The rose blooms abundantly from late spring until the first frost, showcasing clusters of semi-double, cup-shaped flowers with a soft, lightly floral fragrance.
