Welcome to Pretty Petals!

We’re a mail-order garden centre based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and our journey began with a simple passion: curating beautiful roses from the world’s best breeders. We have partnered with Canadian growers to bring you the best selection of bare root roses, including popular brands like David Austin Roses, Kordes Roses, Meilland Roses, Tantau Roses, Weeks Roses and more. Since then, we've been fortunate to expand our collection to include dahlias, annuals, and perennials to share with fellow Canadian gardeners.

As gardeners ourselves, we know how challenging it can be to find quality plants at reasonable prices, so we built Pretty Petals with the goal of making gardening accessible for everyone. All our roses and live plants come from Canadian growers, and we work with both Canadian and international partners to bring you top-quality bulbs and tubers. Fair pricing matters deeply to us; we believe that buying plants should be fair for both the grower and the gardener.

In recent years, we’ve been shipping bare root and dormant plants—and now potted plants too—to better meet the needs of our customers. Like many of you, we’ve been impacted by the challenges of inflation, food insecurity, and the difficult events happening around the world. This has driven us to support fundraising efforts, working to make a difference however we can. Please learn more here.

Large & Healthy, Will Buy Again.

I ordered one Roald Dahl and one Double Ambre, both arrived to the industry standard of 2+ canes of pencil thickness or larger. Some minor pruning was necessary as is standard procedure with bare roots.

Both roses have been happy and developing well since being soaked for 4-8 hours upon arrival and followed by temporary potting in large planters until later this year.

Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of bare roots I received and look forward to seeing them in bloom in another few weeks along the same timeline with my well established roses.

Although the cost for shipping initially caught me off guard, the individual price for the rose quality, size, and available selection was fair.

I will be purchasing from them again in future and have already recommended them to several friends.

This is one of my favourite roses. The colour and shape of the bloom is beautiful, and the scent is amazing. The rose arrived looking very healthy, with clear planting instructions, and it is already putting out healthy new growth
